Activities

BFC’s charitable activities further freshwater and marine environment restoration, preservation and conservation, and the promotion of sustainable traditional fish stock management practices. Policies and programs are researched, developed and implemented to restore and conserve freshwater and marine ecosystems and wild fish stocks, and to mitigate the direct and indirect negative impacts of humans. BFC collects and facilitates access to traditional local knowledge and recognized community leaders, details of proven community strategies, policies and regulations, useful scientific data, and emerging trends that support healthy freshwater and marine ecosystems and sustainable fishing practices.
