Resources

Society is undergoing a transformation in how we view nature’s bounty. No longer can we assume the resource is infinite.

Indigenous people teach us the importance of being connected to nature through the harvest of its bounty and that maintaining this connection is essential. Advances in technology, changes to the earth’s climate, and the expected 9-billion people who will soon inhabit earth, mean the sustainability of our wild resources depends on both science-based harvesting guidelines and experienced-based best practices.

Blue Fish programs, partnerships and resources promote responsible exploration and enjoyment of nature’s profound beauty and remarkable bounty through the sharing of both traditional knowledge and scientific research, while at the same time, informing and inspiring recreational anglers to engage in citizen science.
