Dr. Steven J. Cooke, Canada’s Research Chair in Fish Ecology and Conservation Physiology. Dr. Cooke is a professor of Environmental Science and Biology at Carleton University, and runs Carleton University’s Fish Ecology and Conservation Physiology Laboratory, otherwise known as the “Cooke Lab”. Topics of interest include aquatic ecology, conservation biology, physiological ecology, animal behaviour and environmental science. Research focuses primarily on freshwater and marine fish. Dr Bruce Tufts is a Professor of Fisheries & Conservation, Biology Department, Queen’s University.

Dr. Tufts research focuses on the conservation and sustainable use of freshwater fisheries in Canada, and involves the study of wild fish populations of interest to recreational anglers. His courses include Fisheries Techniques that provides students with the “hands-on” best practices used in fisheries work.
